Terms of Service

What this service does, how you may use it, and what it does not promise.

  • Research Connect is an access broker: it checks entitlements and routes fetch requests; it does not host or resell publisher content.
  • Use the tools only for access you are entitled to. Respect publisher terms; some connectors restrict automated fetching.
  • The service is provided as-is without warranty. Availability of third-party connectors and entitlement providers is not guaranteed.
  • Using Research Connect takes an account: a code account or an email account. The articles your AI client checks or receives are counted, without your name and without your account, in COUNTER usage reports for the article's publisher, and for your institution's library when the record names your institution, as the privacy page describes.
